Just a V12 Cobra

Big engine, little car. It's an age-old recipe that has been putting big grins on the faces of car guys the world over ever since modifying began. Back in the '60s Carroll Shelby did just this with the AC Cobra - shoehorning big Ford V8 motors into the light UK-built chassis to create one of the most legendary cars of all times. Magnus Jinstrand has always wanted to create his very own Cobra and when it all started to materialize for him he decided to take things a little further than originally planned...

Lexus LFA Nurburgring

Finally, the moment is upon us. Lexus has released the most-exclusive version of its already hyper-exclusive LFA supercar. Behold, in person, the 2012 Lexus LFA Nurburgring Edition. For those who need reminding, the LFA is Lexus' $375,000 supercar. There will only be 500 LFAs built worldwide, and of those, a scant 50 will have the Nurburgring package bestowed on them.

Bugster

This isn't a hack job, this is is the sort of hybrid we can throw our enthusiastic support behind. The body started life atop a humble 1973 Volkswagen Beetle chassis, while the running gear saw duty under a 2000 Porsche Boxster convertible's skin. The car was created by Siegfried Rudolf, who owns CarMaxx, an Austrian company that restores and customizes Porsche and Volkswagen cars.

Excess From Lamborghini

The engine is mounted longitudinally amidships, with the transmission ahead and beneath the center tunnel, meaning 58 percent of the weight sits on the rear axle. Luckily (for your insurance carrier), there's a viscous-traction, permanent all-wheel-drive that puts all 662 ponies to the ground through all four wheels. Yes, the torque split is variable and automatic, meaning you can more or less point the car, mash the pedal and hang on. Just make sure you aim carefully.
