An engine as special as the Hellephant must be unveiled in a very special wrapper, so the Mopar design team found a nice, period-correct, iconic design celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2018—the 1968 Dodge Charger—and just loved on the design a bit. Joe Dehner, head of Ram exterior and Mopar design, walked us around a beautiful stock '68 Charger R/T Hemi from Chrysler's historical collection, complementing its voluptuous beauty while lamenting how deeply inset its wheels are relative to the bodywork, how long the front overhang is, and how ugly the vent windows, Coronet side-view mirror, and chrome drip-rails are.

Finally, the moment is upon us. Lexus has released the most-exclusive version of its already hyper-exclusive LFA supercar. Behold, in person, the 2012 Lexus LFA Nurburgring Edition. For those who need reminding, the LFA is Lexus' $375,000 supercar. There will only be 500 LFAs built worldwide, and of those, a scant 50 will have the Nurburgring package bestowed on them.
This isn't a hack job, this is is the sort of hybrid we can throw our enthusiastic support behind. The body started life atop a humble 1973 Volkswagen Beetle chassis, while the running gear saw duty under a 2000 Porsche Boxster convertible's skin. The car was created by Siegfried Rudolf, who owns CarMaxx, an Austrian company that restores and customizes Porsche and Volkswagen cars.
